Words

Those of you out there who have kids: teach them to write. Writing is the only thing that will be important in the next 20 years. Not athletic ability, not looks, not money. Writing can get you all of those things or obviate the need for them.

I write disturbingly well when I need or want to. And in the last three days I have needed and wanted to. Diffused a bad situation at work, and worked out some understanding with my ex-wife. It sometimes scares me, the power of words.
