Snow flashbacks

There's snow here.

Oddly, the snow was heavier east of here. Over near work, there's a suburb with twenty-one inches of snow, and pictures from Philadelphia and New Jersey show the usual sort of chaos. Normally, areas west and north of DC get a lot more snow, while DC gets rain and ice. This time, it's bass-ackwards.

Being home for the weekend lets me do (as always) more cleaning, and catching up with people in email. My boss is in Florida (at Daytona, for the races) and I've been entertaining her with pictures of the ten or twelve inches of snow outside.

I've been back in touch with Sarah. Tentatively, because I really am not sure that I want to go back there, but just the same, we're talking a little. I probably need to go back a year and read about all the things about her that used to drive me nuts, just a reminder. If nothing else, maybe that's what this page is useful for: as a reminder to myself about not doing dumb stuff more than a couple of times.

Then again, the optimist in me says that a year has passed, and maybe she's different.
