Silent

It's cold tonight... there's absolutely no sound out there unless there's a car down on the highway. No sound whatever. No frogs, birds, bugs, neighbor noise, nothing.

Most of you have never heard total silence outdoors.

Sometimes, it's also perfectly dark here, to the point where I have to hear my way to the garage and can tell where I am only by the changes in the acoustic pattern when I walk from the house to the driveway.

It's a special place here.
