Maybe I should ask her

June 08, 2006 - 10:28 a.m.

It appears that I am now eye-candy-resistant.

My eye-candy lady is in the office today. Same dark, pretty hair, same cute little gray suit with the hem that flutters around when she walks, same black heels and great legs.

And I'm just not attracted. It's like, "hm... well, Suzanne is taller and cuter and older and wears better colors." That, and in two or three hours I could be wrapped all around Suzanne, whereas this woman would be rather put off if I pulled up her skirt and slid inside her. At least I'm pretty sure she would. Maybe I should ask.

Work is more interesting in other ways. I got to say "yes" to a nice, approachable little project for another department, one I could do in about an hour but of course it'll take weeks to get all the talking-about-it done.

The cats managed to empty their water tank again, so I was greeted by a crowd of whiners when I got up this morning too early. There was at least a gallon of water in there. I think they just drink it so that they can fill the catboxes and get me mad.

I got a lot of mowing and vacuuming done yesterday morning, but there's more that will need to be done next week. I'm not sure when Suzanne will be coming down to visit, but it's in the next few weeks. I have a lot of stuff to do between now and then, but at least the yard is in reasonable shape.

That reminds me, at lunch (in addition to picking up my suit, tie and a shirt from the cleaners) I need to go over to Lowe's and pick up new spark plugs for the Husqvarna. The little tractor has been running like shit and I think it wants new spark plugs.
